Grimes

Claire Elise Boucher was born on March 17, 1988. The name she is given is Grimes. There are many styles of her first music has been described as "lo the fi R&B" and "futuristic dance-pop". She has also used elements of hip hop electronic, rock and hip hop. Her songs frequently touch on gender issues and science fiction. Five studio albums were issued by her. Grimes was born in Vancouver and later moved to Montreal. The singer began her independent music career in late early 2000s. In 2010 she debuted two albums through Arbutus Records, Geidi Primes (and Halfaxa), respectively. Later, she signed with 4AD and became a household name when she released its third studio album Visions In 2012. Visions includes the singles "Genesis," and "Oblivion". It also was the recipient of the Juno Award of the Canadian Music Industry for Electronic Album of the Years. The album that she released as her fourth studio effort Art Angels was released in the year 2015. It was praised highly from reviewers and numerous publications voted it the best album of the year. 6. Her fifth studio album, Miss Anthropocene, was out in 2020. Grimes, who is also an actor and judge on Alter Ego's music contests, was a vocalist as part of Cyberpunk 2077 which was released 2020.
